Raihan Faroqui, MD is an internal medicine physician and health-tech startup growth leader with a passion for community organizing and political engagement of NYC-area Muslim & Bangladeshi communities. He is the Director of Medical Partnerships at Perry Health, a US-based virtual diabetes startup leveraging 4G-cellular data-connected monitoring devices and an on-demand care team. Dr. Faroqui also sits on the advisory board at inRecovery - Addiction Recovery Platform, a startup company building digital addiction-care software for rehab patients and treatment providers. He helped develop COVID-BASH, the first U.S.-based Bangla-language medical advisory "smart" hotline for uninsured COVID-positive patients.
Here's a snippet from our recent fireside session with him, where he shared lessons for Bangladeshi startups in the healthcare space drawing from his experience at Perry Health, covering the company’s business model, customer acquisition and customer experience (CX) strategies, scale-up plans through tech and personnel and fundraising story as they move from seed stage to series A.
